dream

in a dream world, team four star would work on a adult swim style anime that makes fun of animes... but is actually having real story and plot and intrigue etc etc etc.

Lifelist #1

ok. this lifelist will be in no particular order what so ever. so lets get started:

Zug Izland - Feel

Iced Earth - I Died For You

Seth Horan - Anonymity
This song is here for two reasons. one, i freakin LOVE seth's music and want the whole world to hear it, and two, because of the lyric "i wish my mother would simply someday understand she shouldnt eat her young / now shes been lonely every since she went and disowned her one and only prodigal son." that lyric strikes me with the most power. for some semi-obvious resons

David Bowie - Space Oddity

Flaw - Best I Am
This is one of two tracks dedicated to my daughter on this lifelist. i hope to be a good example of man.

Bjork - I Miss You (Dobie Remix)
track two dedicated to my daughter. this was writ for bjorks own son before he was born.... or is it bjorn. heh. im not witty. anyway. i like this version a bit better then the original Post release (this release is on her remix album, Telegram)

System of a Down - Lonely Day
ah. one of the newer songs that isnt a total disgrace. i think it pretty much speaks for itself here. many of these songs do.

Aesop Rock - No Regrets
wow. this song is just... wow. this song is so powerful and simultaniously inspirational to me. it just HAS to be here. the story of a girl/woman who knew what she wanted in her life, and did it, and was happy with it.

Mindless Self Indulgence
for a little bit more pick me up on this otherwise quiet and "depressed" lifelist.

Everclear - Father of Mine
For any boy who has never met his father, i think this song strikes a very strong chord. so. here it is.

Flogging Molly - Far Away Boys

and last but not least, Corporate Avenger - Heaven's Joke
its no secret that i dont rightly believe in a higher power, but i do believe in humans needing to believe in something bigger then themselves, so... here.

YOU MUST CONSTRUCT ADDITIONAL PYLONS

so yesterday we received an eviction notice. yay.
dont know what will happen to me or this blog, but i will do my best to make continious posts of vigilance and nerddom.

First words

I have been homeless, there wasn't an argument there, and she had been correct with t, but where she was wrong: I WAS the savior of the human race.

It was a dark and stormy night

I'm going to begin a series of posts consisted only of story starting sentences. I'll do my best to make this a daily ritual, but as my life is VERY tumultuous as of late, this may not happen.

Concidering the large gash in my lower abdomen, coupled by the lack of any blood flow, I'd say he was taking my being a demon rather well.

I love the smell of UUDDLRLRBA Start in the morning!

I play games. I like playing games. I like playing games with friends. I dont really care for playing games with strangers. Why? Well. Take a look around the internet and I think your question will rapidly be answered.
But I sometimes play competative video games online with strangers. One of these, a first person type affair called Combat Arms.
But for the last few months... I've been finding myself wanting to play less and less, and sometimes even finding myself downright DREADING it as I type my password. but I play. because sometimes I have fun, and, being in an active clan, I should indeed join my clan mates in some fun. just good clean fun.
Now rewind this.
Fun.
Let's probe this concept.
I see fun, at least within the rules of a game, as a balanced competition of your peers. Balanced meaning that the rules are there to not bend, for fairness.
Flash forward.
I wonder how many online games are ruined and brought down, and ultimately make no more money because of the community. It's not that the game is bad, because it really isn't, but the people who play this game... what if they treat it as a BURDEN to play it, and make you feel that, like them, you have to cheat. just to have fun. but wheres the fun there. because once you play a game without rules (Calvinball doesnt count, because thats just pure awesome, and i tried to play it as a kid) its no longer fun. its no longer balanced. no chalange. no reward.
i see combat arms on a battlefield of the wounded. the casualties of a war in which Konami codes and god modes and no clipping all exist. a war with no winners, only losers.
A war that was ultimately, just a long waste of time. A war among opportunistic and cheating strangers.

The power of the Lantern

Ever since i was a kid, i had this superstition that depending on the shirt i wore, it effected my day. i had a tasmanian devil shirt that i used to love to wear because, being a white kid in hawaii getting beat up all the time, it made me feel like i could fight back, and truth be told, that belief turned into me fighting back and standing up for me and others getting picked on.
Flash to the present (semi-pun intended)
my neighbor gave me this rockin green lantern shirt that glows in the dark. everytime i wear it, it makes me feel like everything is gonna work out. truth be told yet again, this psudo belief/self esteem turns into productivity and results.
i dont have a job, but im looking hard, and i today looked outside my current location (being not so strapped down as of the past year) and i saw some promising results elsewhere. so i need to update that peice o' resume, and email it out, and really pound the net pavement.
thank you green lantern, my psudo-nigh-personal jesus christ.

if only i had a Tick shrit >->;

humans + gears

this is one of the tracks of of the video game remix album "Humans + Gears" which can be downloaded at ocremix.org. love it

more of the same

i am so fucking addicted to this song right now, it's sickening

Elfquest

i know most fans of Elfquest already know this, but you can actually read all the EQ comics online at their website.

http://www.elfquest.com/gallery/OnlineComics3.html

Now. if you HAVEN'T read Elfquest, and you say you like comics (and i don't mean Garfield and Calvin & Hobbes) then youre doing yourself a major diservice by not reading these amazing peices of fantasy fiction. the story here is solid, complex, and an all around amazing love story. the characters in look are a bit dated (70's) but its very easy to look past the sideburns and bellbottoms to see the amazingly deep story beneath. i love this comic, and have since renting it from the library when i was a kid.
back then, i was really into marvel comics, and comics in general, so i'd pick up any sort of comic.
i implore you to read these, and purchase the hardcover editions. nothing short of amazing.
